Working within a veterinary clinic I see many patients who become stressed and anxious. from being within the clinic or when they are having a procedure done. Having a product that helps combat their stress is super helpful as it ensures the clinic becomes a happier and positive rewarding space. It also makes our job easier.
Originally the lickimat was developed for being boredom busters and a fun treat maker. They were designed as an easy to use, medical free way to combat anxiety and stress in animals. However, their usage has gone beyond these as just being a treat maker.
With just a small amount of food, you can make a long-lasting treat. They’re perfect for if you would like to spoil your pet or use it as a boredom buster to keep your dog busy for when you need to leave the home. They are simple, easy, and affordable which makes them a great enrichment for all pet owners.
You can put pretty much anything on a lickimat including; natural yoghurt, peanut butter, raw eggs, canned fish, wet or raw foot or squashed fruits. For some other ideas see below;
Chicken and Peas
